Course Update
Starting from 25/11/2024, we will be introducing the mandatory use of Fairway Mats.
As we progress into the back end of November, we are seeing the mild weather begin to turn, with weather forecasters predicting rainfall and snow in the coming days and weeks. With these changes in mind and after long deliberation, Alistair and I have decided to implement the mandatory use of fairway mats starting Monday 25th November 2024.
The rationale behind this decision is not only to protect the fairways over the next few weeks and months but also to ensure the course will be presented in a condition that all members would appreciate in April next year. Anyone wishing to play from the semi-rough where a mat is not required is welcome to do so.
The mandatory use of fairway mats will be under constant review. If the next few weeks and months turn out to be extraordinarily dry, we may be in a position to lift the use of fairway mats and return to preferred lies. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain the quality of our course during this seasonal transition. Fairway mats are available for purchase in the Pro Shop and are priced at £10.00. We have a wonderful golf course, let’s try our best to look after it.
